tag17Tempting, inked and highly addictive. Alex is all that and more…

I’ve made a lot of mistakes – ones I’m not proud of, and definitely ones that have left their marks both mentally and physically.

Things got lonely; I got lost in my own fucked up mind and in the end it left me fucked out of my mind and unable to fight – or at least win. That life’s over for me and I’ve moved on.

Six months into tattooing at Blue’s and already I’m the most wanted and sought out tattooist. My biggest clientele consists of women.

They come into the shop, end up in my bed and we both come out happy. It’s been my release since I’ve stopped fighting. It’s become part of the “new” me.

But when Tripp reappears in my life, I can’t deny the fact that I would do anything for that girl.

So when she asks me to move in with her and her ‘boyfriend’ – our other childhood friend – I never expected for things to get so fucked up and twisted that I would find myself only more attracted to her by each passing second or wanting to protect her from everything that isn’t me.

I have worked so hard over the years to suppress my feelings for her but when I find out that her and Lucas have been having an open relationship, I have the strong urge to rip his heart straight from his chest – to destroy the very thing that keeps him breathing.

What I didn’t expect was for Lucas to ask what he did. For him to ask me to do the one thing I have secretly longed for since I was old enough to know what the need was. The second thing I never expected was the look of need that I saw in Tripp’s eyes when he asked.

One night of free passion could change our lives forever.

I never said that was a good thing either…

SFTP LIVE
tag19I’m in my room getting ready when I hear the shower turn on. The party starts in about fifteen minutes so Alex must be getting ready too.

Just out of curiosity, I walk over to the bathroom door and turn the handle. It moves, but I don’t push it open. It’s unlocked. That thought excites me, making me realize that he didn’t care enough to lock it, and knowing that I could walk in at any time and see him naked elevates my core temp a little. I just find that to be so damn hot.

That’s an open invitation… right?

I release the handle and suck in a small breath when I hear him moan out, followed by what sounds like his hand slapping against the shower wall.

Oh. My. God. That is the sexiest sound I have ever heard. That low, deep growl is all it takes to get me wet.

Collecting myself, I back away from the door and take a deep breath. My legs feel shaky. “Don’t do this right now, Tripp. Dammit, don’t do this.” Shaking it off, I go back to stand in front of the mirror one last time, questioning the way I look in my newest little dress.

Dresses are my thing. It doesn’t matter how many I own, I can never have enough. Plus, I love the way Alex looks at me every time he sees me in a new dress. His wandering eyes always cause my heart to flutter out of my chest. I just hope this little red dress is enough to get his attention.

I’m in the middle of turning around to check out my ass, when I hear the bathroom door open, followed by a whistle.

Please be naked…. What am I saying? Don’t be naked.

Cautiously, I turn my head toward the bathroom door, with my eyes squinted, to see Alex standing there in a towel. He looks so damn sexy that I feel as if all the air has been sucked from my lungs. My chest aches as I stare him up and down, watching as the water drips from his beautiful, tattooed body.

He checks me out with a smirk before whistling again. “Damn, Firecracker. That dress was made just for you.” He places his hand over the bulge in his towel and bites his bottom lip. “You look beautiful. Stop second-guessing yourself. I’ll see you downstairs in five.”

He turns around, pulling the towel away right before he closes the door behind him. My mouth drops open from the glimpse of his ass that I am left with. It’s so firm and perfect that all I can think about is biting it… and the way it flexed when he walked. Is it normal for an ass to look that good?

“I hate you sometimes,” I whisper.

“Who do you hate sometimes?”

I shake my head and look at my doorway to see Lucas standing there, dressed in a black shirt and a pair of gray shorts. He raises his eyebrows, waiting for my response.

“No one.” I walk over to him and plaster on my best smile, trying to pretend that I’m not still thinking about those sounds I heard coming from the shower. “I was talking to myself. Just second-guessing my outfit, I guess.”

Wrapping his arms around me, he kisses my shoulder and brushes my hair behind my ear. “Well, I would have loved to see you in a pair of short shorts and a tank top tonight, but this dress works too.”

I roll my eyes before pulling away from him and bumping him out of the way with my hip. “I didn’t feel like wearing shorts, Lucas. This dress makes me feel good. If I feel good, then I have a good time and enjoy myself. That’s all I want tonight.”

“Me too, baby,” he responds. “We’re going to have a lot of fun. Trust me.”

I start walking into the hallway, but feel his hand slide up my dress, slipping a finger inside of me. I stop right outside of my room and swallow. Closing my eyes, I begin imagining it were Alex.

“Holy shit, you are wet!” Wrapping his arm around my waist, he starts sliding his finger in and out, while moaning in my ear. “So damn wet. You’ve never been this wet before.”

Opening my eyes, I look over to see Alex leaning against the wall next to his door, with his arms crossed over his chest. His eyes wander down to Lucas’ hand and then up to meet my eyes.

Out of instinct I push Lucas away and pull my dress down to cover my ass back up. My heart is pounding like crazy. “Holy shit, Alex. I didn’t know you were out here.”

Lucas doesn’t even seem to care that Alex just witnessed him fingering me. I bet he wouldn’t be too happy to find out that Alex is the real reason I was already wet and not because of him.

He sucks his finger into his mouth and smiles at Alex. “Hey, man. People are arriving and there’s some hot chick downstairs looking for you. I told her you were almost ready.”

I can see the aggravation on Alex’s face as he nods his head and walks past us. “Sure, man. Thanks.”

My heart continues to race as I watch Alex quickly descend the stairs to be with a random chick that will get the one thing I have wanted for as long as I can remember, but unlike her, I can’t have.

Clearing my throat, I tilt my head back as Lucas pushes me against the wall and kisses my neck. “Come on, Lucas,” I say stiffly. “People are waiting on us.” Not that I actually care. The truth is I don’t really want to fuck Lucas after seeing the look on Alex’s face. I have no idea what that look meant, but it was enough to make me want to forget it. He seemed bothered by our show.

Lucas spreads my legs open with his thigh, before running a hand up my leg and cupping my mound. “Shit, I’m so horny right now. Is it wrong that the thought of Alex watching me fuck you is turning me on? I might even like to watch him fuck you. Damn, baby.”

I feel a surge of heat shoot through me and can feel the wetness dripping through my bikini bottom now. The thought of Alex and fuck in the same sentence makes it hard to think straight.

“Yeah,” I whisper. “And do you think Alex would like that?” For some reason, I want to hear what he thinks about Alex. He’s been around us enough to know more than anyone.

“Are you kidding me?” He pushes me harder against the wall and kisses my neck again, lost in his lust to have me. “Alex probably fantasizes about fucking you every day… about sticking his dick into your tight little pussy.”

I moan out as he slips his finger back inside and slowly starts pumping. “Damn… so wet and so tight.” He starts pumping faster and harder. “You want Alex to fuck you? Huh, baby? You want him to bust his load inside of you?”

I find myself moaning louder as I picture Alex inside of me.

“Maybe he can slide his hand up this dress later and finger fuck you just like I am. Do you think about doing that with your best friend? Huh? Do you imagine him pushing his fingers deep inside you? The same ones that he holds that tattoo gun with… You like that, huh? All the girls do.” He speeds up again, going as deep as he can and I lose it. My whole body shakes from my orgasm and I have to grip onto Lucas’ shirt to keep from falling.

“Oh fuck!” I try to keep quiet, but the orgasm just seems to keep rolling through me, shaking me to my core. “Damn you, Lucas! You just don’t listen,” I say breathlessly.

“Fuck. That was fast though, baby. You loved it.”

I turn away and focus on catching my breath as the waves slowly begin to stop. He thinks that my orgasm was due to his abilities, but he couldn’t be more wrong. If I didn’t realize how much I wanted to have sex with Alex… well I do now. Lucas just helped confirm it.

Ellie’s Sweet 16 is a summer of firsts.
First car.
First kiss.
First boyfriend.

First serial-killing stalker…?

Hockey-obsessed tomboy Eleanor Westley has never been the object of a guy’s affection before. So when the hottest boy she’s ever seen moves in across the street and starts treating her like she’s the center of his universe, naturally she’s going to be a little skeptical. But everything starts to make sense when girls who look just like Ellie start dying all around the city. Obviously the new guy is the killer, and of course he only likes her because he wants to slice her into tiny pieces. Right?

The more Ellie gets to know Seth the more she’s convinced he’s a psychopathic killer. Problem is, he’s the sweetest psychopathic killer she’s ever met. Not to mention he’s brutally hot. No matter how hard she tries, she can’t help but fall for him.

From the best selling young adult author of The Avery Shaw Experiment and V is for Virgin, comes a lovable, quirky, and wildly funny coming of age contemporary romance about a girl, her strange but hot neighbor, and the crazy summer that changed both of their lives forever.

Will Ellie find true love?
Or will her summer of firsts turn out to be a summer of lasts?

I
leapt back and flattened myself against the wall just as Seth knocked on my
window. “Ellie, c’mon, I know you’re in there. I also know you have a weakness
for ice cream. Come hang out with me and we’ll go to Dairy Queen. My treat.”
My
mouth watered at the thought of a Heath Blizzard and I nearly opened my window.
Except… How did he know about my ice cream addiction?
“At
least tell me you found my note.”
Note?
What note?
Seth
sighed and then, as if reading my thoughts, said, “Look at the high scores on Skateboard

Of
course I checked. How could I not? I was admittedly relieved when I saw my
score still at the top of the list, but the next score was only one point below
it and the following eight each one point lower than the next. As baffled by
the impossibility of the scores as I was, I was even more surprised by the

nicest thing anyone had ever said to me, and definitely the closest thing to a

while my heart was thumping my brain was only processing fear. How had he done
this? And when?

As Oakley reads one each day, she realizes how much he loved her, and each letter challenges her to be better and to continue to enjoy her life. He wants her to move on.  If only it were that easy.  But then a surfer named Carson comes into her life, and Oakley is blindsided. He makes her feel again. As she lets him in, she is surprised by how much she cares for him, and things get complicated. How can she fall in love and be happy when Lucas never got the chance to do those very same things?  With her brother’s dying words as guidance, Oakley must learn to listen to and trust herself again. Excerpt

*The first thing I see the next morning is Lucas’s notebook sitting on my bedside table. I grab for it and once it’s in my hands, I flip to page three and read my daily entry.Dear Oakley,

I know this may come as a shock, but all those times you’ve made me watch the Vampire Diaries with you? Well, I secretly liked it. Tell anyone and I’ll haunt you forever. For real.

I laugh out loud. I swear he hated that show. Every time I turned it on, he complained. But I guess he didwatch it with me every week. And now that I think about it, he would ask a lot of questions when it was on.

And promise me you won’t become one of those weird fangirls who cry when they see the actors on TV and stuff. Seriously. You know the ones I’m talking about… My advice today? Get out and learn something new. I’ve always wanted to learn to play the drums. Is that random or what?

Love, Lucas

Cutlass by Ashley Nixion – 12 Days of Great Summer Reads – Day 9

Notorious pirate Barren Reed has one thing on his mind: Revenge against the man who killed his father. So kidnapping his enemy’s fiancé seems a perfect plan…until he actually does it. Larkin Lee is more than a pretty face and fiancé to a powerful man. Her fierce personality is enough to make any pirate want to push her overboard.

But when the King of the Orient comes to Barren with a task—to find the Bloodstone, a powerful gem thought only to exist in legend, Barren sees another opportunity to destroy his enemy. Together, Barren, Larkin and a crew of pirates set off to find the stone, only to discover it caused the death of Barren’s own mother and Larkin’s, too. As his strongest allies turn into his greatest enemies, and the life of the girl he kidnapped becomes more important than he ever dreamed, Barren’s quest for revenge becomes a fight to save the Orient.

Ashley was born and raised in Oklahoma, where the wind really does sweep down the plains, and horses and carriages aren’t used as much as she’d like. She has a Bachelor’s in English Writing and a Master’s in Library Science and Information Studies. When Ashley isn’t writing, she’s traveling, working out, or pretending she’s Sherlock Holmes. Her obsession with writing began after reading the Lord of the Rings in the eighth grade. Since then, she’s loved everything Fantasy–resulting in an unhealthy obsession with the ‘geek’ tab on Pinterest, where all things awesome go.
 Author Top 10

  1. Writing
    (of course!)
    This is
obvious. One of my all-time favorite things is writing. I’ve been a writer all
my life. It is my identity. When I’m having a bad day, I just go hang out with
some characters. They don’t always have bad days, but that’s why I write–to
get to the good ones. 🙂
  2. Books
(Reading) – I’m being obvious again! This is part of my bookshelf. Sorry
it’s messy. I tend to just stack stuff. But yes, reading, reading,
reading. It’s for any day, all day, good and bad!

  3. My Aladdin (a.k.a my boyfriend) – Yes, he is my prince charming. And
when I say Prince Charming, I totally mean it. He leaves sweet notes, and tells
    me I’m awesome very day.

  4. Pride and Prejudice – I know I said books earlier, but P&P has to
have a category of its own. It is ridiculous how much I love this book,
especially recently. I watch the 1995 and 2005 versions of P&P on a regular
basis. Why do I love it so much? I guess in some form or fashion, we can all be
Elizabeths (or Mr. Darcys). The pics below are from my own copy of P&P!

  5. Tea & Tea Cups – I LOVE tea. I drink it a lot when I write. I mean
one cup after the other. I stopped drinking coffee about two years ago, and
well…replaced it. I also love tea cups.

  6. Travel
    – I’ve been to Ireland, Peru, Italy, and London and France – in that
order. I have always dreamed of traveling, and thankfully, I’ve gotten to
do it! There are so many more places I want to go! In 2016, we are
returning to London and France to explore more! We also would like to
    visit Greece!

  7. Connecting
with people who love my books! The feeling I get when I talk or chill with
readers is just awesome. I mean, it’s still a surreal feeling and I think
it will always be, but I hope I can convey how grateful I am for every
message, comment, and download of my book.

  8. Cooking & Working Out – I know, I’m probably in the minority here.
BUT, let me just say, while I don’t always love either of these things, I do
them consistently and they always make me feel AMAZING about myself and about
my day. Starting a day with a workout, and eating well throughout the day makes
me have a better day, I’m convinced.

  9. Music – I love to write with music, and
certain sounds get me into a certain mind set so I can convey the feeling of
what I’m writing better (or so I think).

  10. Purple – I love the color purple. I have purple
in my hair, the curtains in my office are purple, I even plan to have purple as
a color for my future wedding

Snippet

“It is required by the code that I
kill any privateers I come into contact with—a waste, really. You were brave.”
Barren moved his arm back and thrust the blade toward the
young lord. Larkin moved quickly, snatching Leaf’s cutlass from his hand, she
deflected Barren’s sword and stood between the two.
“No!” she cried fiercely. “You will
spare him!”
“You do not command me!” Barren’s
voice was deadly.
“What would you gain from his
death?”
“He cannot be trusted!”
“You’ve spent all your life killing
the wrong people! How many more lives will you take to pay for one?”
Barren let his blade fall to his
side. His gaze seared her, and he could tell she was afraid. Her eyes were
wide, and she breathed heavily, but her hands tightened on the hilt of Leaf’s
blade. For a moment, he wanted to end her life. Then he would have no more
interferences, but he knew he couldn’t. He took a step toward her, eyes
narrowing.
“Move,” he commanded. Larkin glared
up at him and shook her head. Barren tightened his jaw.
“It’s okay, Larkin,” she heard
Jonathan’s voice. “Move.”
Barren watched as she turned to
face Jonathan. Because she was distracted, Leaf was able to reach forward and
pull her away from the scene, ripping the blade from her hands. Barren stepped
forward, repositioned himself before the man and pointed the sword at
Jonathan’s neck. All Barren had to do was push ever so slightly and blood would
pool on the ground, a terrible gurgling sound that would fill the air. Larkin
would scream—scream that he was a monster. Only now, she would see it, she
would really know it.

Excerpt
“Hey, come back to the here and now. Sloane come on, we have to focus. Are you going to be able to do this?” Liyah snapped her fingers in front of Sloane to get her attention. “Sloane? Sloane?”
“Oh, Liyah, I’m sorry. What were you saying?” Just as Liyah was about to answer her, she quieted and Sloane followed her gaze toward the door where her unbelievably handsome ex-fiancé stood.
“Santo cielo.” Liyah breathed and stood straighter, adjusting her jacket.
“He’s just a man in a suit,” Sloane said, trying to convince herself more than Liyah that he was just a man in a suit. She busied herself by stacking and reorganizing an already organized stack of papers. She could feel one single bead of sweat slowly meander its way down her back. But Gates’ magnetic pull soon had her staring at his deep-set hazel orbs. She tried to look away, but there was something about this man who was able to suck her in like cake flour through a sieve.
“He is so not just a man in a suit.” Liyah swallowed hard, shaking her head at Sloane’s dismissal of him. “I’m beginning to understand why you’re so nervous about this. Wow. You know, I didn’t realize how much Brayden looks like him.”
“Shh, keep your voice down.” Sloane tried to move, to blink, to do anything, but her body betrayed her wishes and she could only stare as Gates mingled through the room before he stopped near the two of them. She felt the individual hairs on her neck called to attention as his deep voice rumbled over her.
“Liyah, hello. It’s been a while. Sloane.” Finally regaining her faculties Sloane pulled herself up to her full height of 5 feet 6 inches and smiled. The unmistakable maleness of him filled her senses as she looked into those familiar eyes. Prickly chills scampered up her spine as she stood face to face with the father of her baby boy.
“Hi, Gates.” Liyah interjected, trying to break the obvious awkwardness.
“Gates, it’s good to see you again.” Sloane stammered while inwardly cowering under his intense gaze.
“Is it really?” Smirking, Gates continued past her to meet and shake hands with a few of the representatives from the various companies with bids on the table.
“Okay, so that went well.” Both ladies turned to watch him weave through the crowd of people as he headed towards the front of the room before Liyah turned to Sloane. “You up for this?”
“I don’t have much choice, do I? I guess he really does hate me.” Sloane swallowed the big lump of nerves in her throat and tried to pull herself together for what she knew was going to be the fight of her life. She and Liyah took their seats as the meeting got underway and she was never so glad to sit down. Her legs felt weak and her stomach was queasy. If it weren’t for the fact she hadn’t been with anyone since Gates, she would have sworn she was experiencing morning sickness all over again.
“Maybe not so much hate, as maybe severe dislike.”

 Author Top 10

1. Anything with The Hubs.
2. Kissing and holding my babies.
3. Spending time with family and close friends, lounging and
chatting, and oftentimes accompanied by a glass of red wine.
4. Books, books, and more books! Oh, did I mention books?
5. Writing…most of the time. When the words don’t flow,
writing quickly becomes my LEAST favorite thing.
6. Listening to music and dreaming.
7. Going to the gym. Because that usually means I’m doing #6.
8. Hiking in the Sierra’s. (But really, hiking anywhere with
mountains and pines.)
9. Campfires and early morning coffee, preferably together.
10. Traveling to new places to experience new people and
cultures and FOOD.
11. I know I’m only supposed to name ten, but Skyrim
absolutely must be included in this list. So, there. 😀

Snippet

The globe held me entranced.
“Do you notice anything unusual?”
Sonya asked.
The little sphere continued rotating
on its axis. “The entire globe is unusual,” I said.
She smiled.
“How is it rotating on its own
like that?” I asked. “And is it really showing current weather
systems?”
She nodded. “Yes, and like
everything from Gaia, it’s fueled by the magic inherent to that world.”
That little white smudge continued
moving from water to land, as the world turned.
“It’s where we are all
from—including you.”

Summer in Snowvalley by Jeanette Lewis, Janet Snow, Mercedes O’Shay, Caytie Holbrook, Rebecca Dash and Annie Stirland, 12 Days of Summer – Day 4

First Love:
Janet Snow only agrees to go out with the man she’d written off ten years ago because it was understood–no complications. But after a trip to the hot springs, a helicopter ride, and a proposal Janet has to make a choice…play it safe or trust that her first love could also be her last.

Tin Foil Tiaras:
Cameron Elliott has come to Snow Valley to coach Annalisa Drake in the Miss Snow Valley pageant, and prove to her demanding boss that she deserves a place at the prestigious Westbrooke Agency. But Annalisa’s handsome and protective big brother, Kyle, is determined to keep his sister from becoming a reluctant beauty queen. He insists some things are more valuable than a title and as crazy as it sounds, Cameron might just believe him.

Love in Light and
Shadow:

Mercedes O’Shay has sworn off gorgeous men because they have a
tendency to break her heart. When she meets her new neighbor, Chet Bauer, she
immediately puts him in the Do Not Date category based on his
well-defined muscles and stunning blue eyes. But the more Mercedes learns
about the cowboy who reads classics and forges iron, the more she realizes the
heart doesn’t see in black and white; it sees light and shadows.

Romancing Rebecca:
Rebecca Dash would rather write about
Jane Austen-type characters than hang out with her nerdy Chemical Engineering
male lab partners—until a team of fire-fighters sets up camp on the lawns of
the Starry Skies Bed & Breakfast and the devastatingly handsome, Captain
Wade, catches her eye. Becca soon learns that there’s more to a
happily-ever-after than flirty firemen with muscles the size of the Montana
hills.

Catching Caytie:
To escape being
trapped in an unwanted marriage, Caytie Holbrook hides out at her uncle’s ranch
in Snow Valley, Montana. She intends to stay long enough to inherit a trust
fund her grandmother left and then move to Italy…that is until she meets Jace
McAllister, an incredibly sexy—although somewhat grumpy—cowboy who threatens to
disrupt her plans

A Touch of Love:
Annie Stirland has
endured a lifetime of teasing, embarrassment, and isolation due to her speech
impediment. When irresistible cowboy, Luke Wilson, seems to be falling for her,
she’s certain he’s too good to be true. His ex-girlfriend reappears and
confirms her fears, but Luke isn’t ready to give Annie up.

Tin Foil Tiaras:

Jeanette Lewis is a pen name used by author, Janet K. Halling. Dreaming up stories has always been one of Janet’s favorite things. Other favorites include her family, good friends, crisp autumn days, decadent desserts, and having adventures. First Love:

Taylor Hart has always been drawn to a good love triangle, hot
chocolate and long conversations with new friends. Writing has always been a passion
that has consumed her dreams and forced her to sit in a trance for long hours,
completely obsessed with people that don’t really exist. Taylor would have been
a country star if she could have carried a tune—maybe in the next life. Find
Taylor at:

Love
in Light and Shadow:
Lucy McConnell has always
been a reader and a writer. Once caught up in a story, she disappears into a
cave until the first draft is done. She writes fantasy, clean romance,
Christian romance, historical fiction, and cookbooks (under the name Christina
Dymock.) Her Christmas romance,
Blue Christmas,
was a top seller in seven Amazon categories on its own and in thirteen as part
of the
Christmas in Snow Valley Anthology.
When she’s not writing,
you can find her volunteering at the elementary school or church; shuttling
kids to baseball, soccer, basketball, or football, depending on the time of
year; skiing with her family; wakeboarding; cycling; baking; cooking; or curled
up with a good book.

Romancing Rebecca:

Award-winning author, Kimberley Montpetit AKA Kimberley
Griffiths Little once spent all her souvenir money at the La Patisserie
shops when she was in Paris—on the arm of her adorable husband. The author grew
up in San Francisco, but currently lives in a small town along the Rio Grande
with her big, messy family.

Kimberley reads a book a day and loves to travel. She’s stayed
in the haunted tower room at Borthwick Castle in Scotland, sailed the Seine in
Paris, swam in the ocean at Cannes, ridden a camel among the glorious cliffs of
Petra, shopped the maze of the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul, and spent the night in
an old Communist hotel in Bulgaria. Find her at
www.KimberleyMontpetit.com or her Facebook page: www.facebook.com/KimberleyMontpetit. Kimberley Montpetit Author Page on Amazon

Catching Caytie:
Cindy
Roland Anderson is the bestselling author of clean, contemporary romance filled
with humor, romantic tension and some pretty great kissing scenes. Cindy has a
degree in nursing, and worked in the NICU until she recently retired to write
full time.
She loves to bake,
not cook (there is a difference!) and enjoys spending time with her family.
Cindy is lucky to be married to her best friend John.
They live in Northern Utah and are parents to five incredible children. Over
the past few years their family has expanded by adding a son-in-law, a
daughter-in-law and four adorable grandchildren.
Cindy
loves to read, almost as much as she loves writing. And she loves
chocolate—probably a little too much.
To contact Cindy or to see other projects she is
working on go to
www.cindyrolandanderson.com or check out her author Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/cindyrolandandersonauthor

A Touch of Love:
Cami Checketts is married and the proud mother of four future
WWF champions. Sometimes between being a human horse, cleaning up magic
potions, and driving boys to lacrosse practice, she gets the chance to write
fiction. Cami and her family live in the beautiful Cache Valley of
Northern Utah. During the two months of the year it isn’t snowing, she enjoys
swimming, hiking, biking, running, and water-skiing.
Website: http://www.camichecketts.com/

Fun facts:

Taylor Hart 1-My favorite, favorite, favorite thing to do in the summer is
pick up candy at fourth of July parades!
2-I
have 4 boys that break lots of things and force me to watch youtube videos on
how to fix stuff.

Lucy McConnell Though she grew up in Utah, Lucy didn’t
take up skiing until she was 32. It still scares her to look down a steep
grade, but since her kids are usually half way down the hill before she gets up
the nerve to push off, she has no choice but to suck it up and do her best.
She watched a horrendous amount of
Christmas movies and DVRs them so she can watch them in the middle of the
summer too.
Lucy bakes…a lot! But, she swears chocolate
desserts come out better when mixed with a little Elvis Presley music. It’s
totally true; you should try it.

Kimberley Montpetit loves to belly dance and once performed a tribal dance in a coffee house with
her husband and three teenage sons in the audience. The group dance became a
solo when the other dancers didn’t show. You can often find her shimmying while
doing the dishes.
A die-hard lover of chocolate, Kimberley
can eat a whole pan of brownies in a single day and loves ketchup on her
spaghetti. It’s a childhood thing.

Cindy Roland has won a
few things on the radio, like $5000 dollars when they were poor college
students, and a trip to Mazatlan when Oliver North, a family friend to her
in-laws, called the radio station to win the contest for who knew the most
famous person.
Cindy once
chased down a criminal in downtown Washington DC when she discovered he had
just broken into several cars, including her mother-in-law’s. When the DC cops
asked her what she was going to do with the guy if she’d caught him, she told
them she wasn’t sure but wanted to tell him how wrong stealing was. That made
them laugh, and one of them good-naturedly suggested her naivety might have
something to do with where she was from as he pointed to the “I’m from Utah”
T-shirt she had on. Incidentally, they also thanked her since the thief dropped
two of the duffel bags he’d stolen out of one car in order to get away from the
Utah woman chasing after him.

Cami Checketts is training for her third marathon and is hoping being over
forty and in the hefty honey’s division (the race organizers call it something
nice like Filly division) means she’ll finally win something.
Cami is much too obsessed with her four boys and loves watching
them play lacrosse. From her 6’3″ 16-year-old defender to her 3’2″
4-year-old goalie, she cheers, drives hours to practice and games, bakes
cookies for all the teams, and thinks lax Momma is the best title in the world.
